Nedved rebukes Ibrahimovic
Ron makes Milan pledge
Ronaldo is out for the rest of the season, but is already looking to the future and “very many years” in a Milan jersey.

Il Fenomeno has a splendid start to this spell, scoring seven goals since his January switch from Real Madrid, but is out for at least two weeks – perhaps four – with a thigh strain.

“I think my rapport with the Rossoneri will carry on for a very long time,” said the striker. “I was welcomed here in an incredible way.”

The Brazilian feared there would be a backlash due to his past at rivals Inter, but he quickly became a fan favourite on the other side of the San Siro.

“I am happy to have started well up until now, but one must continue and try to always improve. This little thigh strain was bad timing at this stage of the season, but it happened and we have to deal with it as soon as possible.”
Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved believes Inter’s Scudetto was well deserved, but did not appreciate seeing his former teammates’ celebrations.

The Nerazzurri claimed their 15th Scudetto on Sunday and held a huge party with their supporters, but the Juventino was hurt from the comments made after the victory, when the Interisti stated that they had won without stealing.

“I think they deserved to win on the pitch, but I cannot hide that I was sad to see some former teammates like Zlatan Ibrahimovic celebrate like that,” said Nedved on Tuesday.

“I was also hurt by the fact that they said this title was won without stealing. I never stole anything in the past years, we won on the pitch just like them and no one can take those titles away,” he added.
Buffon won’t be sacrificed
Juventus claim that they won’t sell Gianluigi Buffon this summer in order to fund their transfer campaign.

Cashing in on the £25m rated goalkeeper is a strategy open to the Old Lady, but director general Jean-Claude Blanc insists that is not on their agenda.

“We are not planning on letting Buffon leave,” said Blanc on Wednesday afternoon even if some rumours suggest otherwise.

“If he stayed with us in Serie B, like many other Juve players, then it is only because he wants to continue playing with us in Serie A as well.

“We will invest most of the extra £71m increase in capital voted for by the board of directors on the transfer market. We are aware that our competitiveness depends on our future signings.

“We want to keep our talented young players and we hope to sign some champions, mainly for our midfield and defensive department.”

Blanc maintains that the club plans on being immediately competitive at the highest levels as confirmed by their January activity.

“We agreed deals for Zdenek Grygera [Ajax], Hasan Salihamidzic [Bayern Munich] and a young talent such as Domenico Crisicto [Genoa] during that time.

“This is the club’s policy, next year we want to be one of the first four or five clubs,” continued the official.

However, the outfit have suffered a setback today after target Torsten Frings extended his Werder Bremen contract until 2011.
