ALBERTO AQUILANI BIOGRAPHY
Alberto Aquilani, born in Roma, in Montescaro on july 7th 1984.
His parents are named Claudio and AnnaMaria. Alberto his father is in charge at the white cross that operates in Rome since 1974, his mother works in a laboratory for analists
Alberto is a calm boy with his head on the right place........... He is cultivated by a dream just like a lot of boys from his age. But not like all he can say he realized his dream. His desire is to become a football player and play for Roma, the team where his heart belongs too.
He doesn’t neglect his study and graduates at the scientific high school it is a private school for citizens in Trieste, before that he went to a public school, and then he dedicates his heat to Roma. He was a good student. Especially in the scientific subjects, but most of all he loved mathamatics.
Alberto Aquilani, the best talent in the youth of As Roma, he is a pure producer, a gambler and most of all he has good sight in the game. In 1999 he became the champions of Italy with the young giallorossi. He is supported by Capello and his other trainers, Conti and Spalletti.
In march 2001 just before signing a professional contract to Roma, Chelsea and Arsenal tried to contract him. But Roma came up with a 5 year deal ,because they believed in his capacity, and Chelsea and Arsenal were out of the picture. Because his desire was to stay in Roma and because of the technical gurantees Roma was sure he would stay.
On december 17th he was able to play between the professionals in the coppa italia game between Roma and Triestina, he substituted his idol Guardiola. He did a good job, but was not able to continue after a bad accident happend, wich kept him from the field for 3 months and even had to miss the tournament of Viareggio.
His debut in the serie A is on may 10th 2003. The game is Roma – Turin and ends in a 3-1 victory for Roma, after this successive season Alberto goes to play for Triestina. He plays 41 matches there and he scores 4 goals. In the season 2004/2005 he returns back to Roma. The technical team there has decided to give him the opportunity to show what he is worth, and he plays 38 games.
The season 2005/2006 begins on the bench for Alberto. But after a few good games, he has earned a place next to fellow Roman Daniele de Rossi. In the UEFA cup game agains Aris he makes his first goal. And in the coppa italia game against Napels he scores an other one. On january 8th 2006 he scores his first serie A goal , wich was an immense great moment for the youngster.
In interviews Alberto always sais that his main point of declarence is his father, who gave all the knitting to his debutes for Roma, Triestina, Under 21 and the Champions league. From technical point of view his model is Giuseppe Gianni. Alberto is compared to him many times because he plays the same role as Giuseppe did. Another one of his idols is Guardiola, he had a great bond with Alberto for the 2 years he played for Roma.
Altough his popularity grows, Alberto is still the boy he was before he joined Roma, his friends are still the same, and his hobby and passion for the game has not changed either.
I am still myself, I go the cinema when I want, (but he also follows his fiancee that does theater) play games on the playstation and play billiarts. He likes going out in the compagny of his more “expensive” friends.
He is the typical, capable Roman boy, that shows up on the pitch everyday with the smile of a true champion and who wants to reach more objective hights.

ALBERTO AQUILANI (Roma)
When Alberto Aquilani was sent on a season long loan to Triestina
two years ago, the then 19 year-old was expected to gain some
experience in the Serie B, perhaps playing in a handful of games. No
one expected such a young player to become a regular.
Yet, by the end of the season he had figured in 41 of Triestina's
matches, having imposed himself in the side quickly becoming the
heartbeat of the team.
His vision and penchant for playing off the main striker inevitably
led to comparisons with fan idol Francesco Totti. And, whilst it is
too early for such judgments, Aquilani certainly has the talent to
match the Roma captain.
When Bruno Conti - the man who has worked tirelessly to improve
Roma's youth set-up and who has already overseen the rapid progress
of Daniele De Rossi – was appointed caretaker boss last season he
gave Aquilani an extended run in the side. Conti has since gone back
to the youth set-up but Aquilani should go on to establish himself
as a regular for many years to come and perhaps the real reason why
Roma don't seem to be too bothered about losing Antonio Cassano.
Yes, because we came home without a single point. However, the situation isn't serious and now we have to think ahead to the next games.
Empoli
It's an important game; we have to strive to win at all costs. Empoli is a tough team to play in their home, where we lost last year, which means we must take the pitch fully concentrated.
What's missing from this Roma?
We're still in the beginning, but all the prerequisites are there to have a good domestic season and advance in Champions. We're on course on all fronts. We had a tough encounter with Inter, but we're off on the right foot: they're a winning team on paper, but in the end everything is decided on the pitch. Inter will slip up at times, and we must profit from that. And against Valencia? Valencia are a great team who went ahead perhaps thanks to their better ball possession.
Your rapport with Spalletti
Spalletti has taught me a lot, and still to this day he encourages me when I make a mistake. He's the best coach, but I also want to remember Berettini who was very important for me.
Have you improved compared to last year?
The more you play, the more you improve. And playing in serie A allows you to improve in every department.
Casiraghi
He's a good coach, he too gives a lot of attention to the human and personal aspect. The Under21 convocations? Rosi got called up. Donadoni? It's obvious it's a dream, which however is too soon for me to come now. I have more to learn and need to play in serie A, then we'll see.
Has changing position improved you or created problems?
I think it can only do me well. Everyone knows I prefer being in more of a central position, but I have no problems positioning myself on the flank..it's only 5 meters.
Rosi and Okaka
Obviously staying in Roma is better because you're playing in a great team immediately. I found it important to gather other experiences as well, but i think that Rosi and Okaka are ready to play for Roma directly. The satisfaction I found in scoring with this shirt is immense, and I think it's the same for Rosi and Okaka. Not to mention it's a great satisfaction and recognition for our youth sector and for this entire club.
Injuries
Mister has many variants that we players adapt well to, I don't think changing formation will be a problem for us.
